A few months ago I posted a review of Captain Spongefoots Original Wing Sauce. Be it a fine product and a staple to anyone serious about their chicken, it is time to open everyone’s eyes to one of their many other sauces in the lineup. I have been testing the Sriracha wing sauce for the last few weeks and I am very impressed. For those who are not familiar with the sauce, its key ingredients are cayenne pepper, siracha pepper and then onto the vinegar, butter, garlic, etc. What gives this sauce the flavor that has me running down to the store tomorrow to pick up another bottle is the touch of wasabi added in there as well. This sauce does bring more heat to the table than the original recipe and even the chipotle version of the wing sauce but it is combined with such distinct flavors that it is no wonder that this is an award winning sauce at national competitions. What I also like about the sauce as it adds just a touch of sweet to the wing on the front side before the heat comes in located at the the top of your throat. If you have any enjoyment in wings at all, you have to try this sauce.

For those traveling to Fiery Foods in Albuquerque at the end of next month, look for Paul and his sauces and stop by and tell him hello for us. You can check out more information at http://www.captainspongefoot.com/

Follow that up with a vinegar base and add some garlic, butter, salt, and a few other ingredients and voila, you have the perfect wing sauce. I have tried this sauce on many batches of wings in the last few weeks and have also tried it on sandwiches, shrimp, and ribs. I have also shared this sauce with many of my friends and family and they all love it. For more information about the company and product line, check out www.captainspongefoot.com
